Since its launch in 2022, Affiliate Gathering established itself as the UK’s leading event for niche website entrepreneurs and content creators.
Under the expert stewardship of Carl Broadbent and Marie Harris, the event became a much-loved annual fixture – bringing together like-minded individuals to network, share knowledge and strengthen connections with peers, suppliers and industry leaders.
However, after changes in their personal circumstances, Carl and Marie sought a new home for the event, one that would build on their success and take it to the next level.
That next chapter is now here.
In September 2024, Affiliate Gathering was acquired by Manchester-based Rooftree Publishing Ltd, owned by David Prior, a journalist, publisher and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the affiliate and online publishing space. Rooftree Publishing runs a portfolio of affiliate websites and digital ventures, including Altrincham Today, one of the UK’s most successful hyperlocal news titles with over 1 million unique users a year.
Until recently, David was also the long-standing Editor of Prolific North, a leading online publisher and events company covering the digital, media and marketing sectors in the North of England. Having organised, hosted and chaired dozens of industry events, he knows what it takes to bring a community together – so when the opportunity arose to acquire Affiliate Gathering, he jumped at the chance.
A New Name, A Bigger Vision
With new ownership comes fresh ambition. While Affiliate Gathering has been a hugely successful event, we want to create an even bigger, more inclusive and industry-wide affiliate marketing event.
That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce Affiliate North, the largest-ever Northern gathering of affiliates, brands, publishers, agencies, performance marketers, networks and tech suppliers.
Our goal is simple: to bring the the different parts of the affiliate eco-system together for a day of actionable insights, game-changing networking opportunities, and a truly unmissable experience for affiliates and marketers looking to scale.
Why the Rebrand?
A Bigger Audience: While Affiliate Gathering focused on niche site entrepreneurs, Affiliate North will bring together the wider affiliate ecosystem, including brands, agencies, networks and SaaS providers.
A Larger-Scale Event: We’re growing into a must-attend industry event with more speakers, more opportunities and a broader focus on the affiliate sector as a whole.
A New Location: The event is moving from York to Manchester – the UK’s leading digital city outside of London – where we can attract an even bigger audience, high-profile speakers and top industry brands.

The first-ever Affiliate North will take place at Manchester Hall on Friday 17th October 2025.
